Twin Shadow // Castles In The Snow

Twin Shadow is the stage name of  George Lewis Jr.  who is apparently quite hot and creative musician. 

“In 2010 he released his debut album Forget, produced by Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear. The album has been described as steeped in 1980s new wave, building from streaks of haunting synth textures and hazily new wave-tinged pop.” Source

Hey all!

This is my last radio show, Bizim Ev Müsait- 4, on Ergen Radyo. The intro starts with me chatting with a close friend of mine. The conversation got a bit hazy through the end of night so this is the only record I could put into podcast. :)

The mix starts in a funny way -as usual- and mainly focuses on electronic tunes this week. You can also hear some psychedelic Turkish sounds including; 3Hürel, Mesut Aytunca & Silüetleri, and Cem Karaca.

I’ll be writing my second dissertation in the following days thus I could only post the songs that I fall for. This is what I’ve been doing for 2 years though.

Hey all!

This is the third week of “Bizim Ev Müsait” on Ergen Radyo. This week’s concept was “trilogies” and I chose 5 themes including; 60s& 70s Turkish music, Acoustic songs, 80s Classics, Electronic music and Musicians from Melbourne. Accordingly I played three songs referring each theme. 

Plus, all the voice recordings were recorded in my own home and sorry if it sounds quite amateur. The radio show’s name means “my place is available” so this is the way I like to do it. Hope you enjoy!

Hey again!

This is the first podcast of my new radio show “Bizim Ev Müsait” on Ergen Radyo.  

The podcast is mostly slow paced including the artists; Bon Iver, High Highs, and Rokia Traore. I very much like listening to Turkish 45s vinyl collections on these days thus I added some old taste to it as well. My favourite song in this set is; Hümeyra’s Dönülmez Bir Yoldayım. Hope you like it.
